MANUFACTURE

a) Preparation of the mass itself: After mixing all the basic elements in their exact proportions, the preparation is cooked up and stired until it becomes a solid mass. Then, itīs put to rest ītil it's cold enough to start actually working with the hands over it. Thereīs no way to get a good mass without kneading carefully.

b) Creating: It's important to knead the portion of mass very well before start giving it the desired form. Done that, cut and assemble the parts using vinyl glue. The carving and shaping is made with different tools, one for each part of the figure; Because of the materials used, the environmental humidity and temperature may affect the mass even when itīs in the modeling process. Sometimes the mass is coloured at this stage of the construction. Depending on the size of the piece and the weather conditions already described, it takes from 24 up to 48 hours to get the model completely dry and firm, then it's ready for the next step.

c) The finishing: When the piece is completely dry and firm, itīs time to give it life using different colors and textures. In the case of little animals and dolls, the hand of the manufacturer is vital for the expression of the eyes as well as the make up effects. A good final result has a lot to do with the fine little details of the piece. After all this process is done, the final step is the varnish finishing. It gives the figure a permanent dust and humidity protection as well as long lasting colour surface.
